Celebration of Human Achievement.
I wish I had found this before the celebration of negativity that is Earth Hour, or Blackout Night. Blackout Night is a celebration by green zealots of the willingness of federal, state, and local authorities, as well as the bewildered, to cut power to all those (normally) brightly lit offices, and other monuments to themselves in order to demonstrate their submission. At least the public sector bewildered do it that way, the private sector bewildered turn off the lights at home and sit in the dark.
As for me; I joined in the other celebration, Human Achievement Hour:
And of course earth hour fits nicely on the end of that as we strive to save our planet from you Nero's.
ReplyDeleteso put your fiddle away, join in, and lets hope human achievement dosn't die from libertarian and neo-con greed.
Thank you so much! I just found your blog for the first time and it is fabulous!
ReplyDelete...I agree with you so much on the celebration of human achievement day
Earth Hour is only symbolism, otherwise you would be asking for a day, a week, a month, all the time?
ReplyDeleteThe fact is that most libertarians, (I can't speak for the neocons) have the sense to turn off all those unnecessary power usages, for economic reasons, not for ideology. I don't like paying big bills, it's as simple as that.
Oh, and why were all those lights we saw going off, on in the first place? It mustn't have been for security, otherwise they would hardly turn them all off at an advertised time.
Look; if you want to impress, why don't you all turn off all those lights and heating at a time when it might cause you to actually rough it, like the middle of winter?
