Steve Jobs Galt statement.

Image: The Late Steve Jobs.

John Aglialoro, the producer of Atlas Shrugged has raised an interesting quote by Steve Jobs, which sounds rather Galtlike:

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs, commencement address to the graduating students at Stanford.

Compare it with:

"For centuries, the battle of morality was fought between those who claimed that your life belongs to God and those who claimed that it belongs to your neighbors-between those who preached that the good is self-sacrifice for the sake of ghosts in heaven and those who preached that the good is self-sacrifice for the sake of incompetents on earth. And no one came to say that your life belongs to you and that the good is to live it." – Ayn Rand, John Galt speech.
