Allen West may leave Congressional Black Caucus.
Democrats tend towards vitriol in any argument, but have a special hatred towards those Republicans who come from ethnic groups that they consider that they own. Harry Reid made the comment, "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican," which is fairly typical of the left’s feeling of ownership over certain groups. While the Tea Party attracts downright derangement syndrome, Allen West as a black Tea Partier comes in for special attention from them. What really upsets them is that he is very articulate and presents reasoned arguments. Here is his response to CBC criticism:
His announcement that he would join the CBC was something of a surprise to many observers as that group tends to be little other than a liberal mouthpiece. West is probably better off severing all connections to them.
